Candidate Invite Process

Checkr works hard to create a seamless experience for both you, the employer, and your candidates. Once you invite a candidate to complete the background check, they will be able to fill out the information from their computer, tablet, or phone. We can brand your invitation so it feels like the candidate never left your system. And if your application process is integrated with Checkr, the information from their application will automatically populate over into the background check application for an even smoother candidate experience.

So I’m going to switch gears and go to the candidate’s viewpoint. So I have a staging environment set up right now. This is just a dummy invitation that was sent out, your logo can be up here, so it could be ABC Company, Demo Company.

Andrew mentioned earlier, we want it to feel like they’ve never left your system. It’s a great candidate experience, everything that Checkr does is candidate-centric. So we can brand that for you. And then below that, we will dynamically present only the required tabs based on the forms that are needed for the components of the package, as well as the applicable state disclosures, the FCRA Summary of Rights, and then authorization or consent to run that background check.

And so in this example, Jen Lemon Kasp would actually fill out her profile. Now, if you’re integrated, say you have an applicant tracking system, and it has a productized systems assimilation, where Checkr and the ATS are talking to each other, or you use our API integration into a proprietary or homegrown system, you can actually map all this data over. And so depending on how sophisticated the ATS is, or what we’ve developed with their engineers, we can carry that information so the candidates don’t have to do dual data entry. They don’t have to fill out the job application on the requisition or in your onboarding platform, and then have to come to the screening process and fill out all that data again. So it’s, again, a much better experience for the candidate.

So, Jen’s going to enter all of her information. This example is mapped over, but say the social wasn’t done, Jen would just apply that. And then we have the zip code, very basic information. The personal-identifiable information needed to successfully create an order within our system will continue, Jen’s going to read through her summary of rights. She will acknowledge that and continue through that process. Then we have the disclosure for the background check investigation, Jen will acknowledge that. And then there are specific states that don’t allow us to concatenate that disclosure with the other states, California is a great example. So we separate that out for our customers. This is keeping you compliant with the law specific to California disclosures as it relates to employment screening or any kind of background checks.

And so here Jen would actually acknowledge the California disclosure, and then she has the opportunity to also check the box to receive a copy of her consumer report. And then lastly, she’s going to digitally sign the consent to run that background check. So this is Checkr hosting the flow for you. So even if you’re using an integration, we would still send the invite out and actually host all those forms, but we do that through the dashboard as well.
