Colorado Updates AI Act Moving Effective Date to Jan 1, 2027

Colorado General Assembly passed SB 189, updating the previous AI Act on the use of automated-decision making, to delay the effective date from June 30, 2026 to January 1, 2027. Among other changes, SB 189 replaces company requirements for systems audits and impact assessments with new notice and transparency focused requirements.
