Comparably Awards Checkr 2021 Best Company for Happiness
Our employees have spoken and we couldn’t be more proud. Comparably announced today that Checkr is an award winner for the 2021 Best Company for Happiness, their most competitive award.
The Happiness Award is based on anonymous feedback from employees over a 12-month period. What does it mean to be the Best Company for Happiness? Comparably defines happiness by a few key factors—positive work environment, salary, vacation time, benefits, and perks.
We know the bar for happiness likely includes what Checkrs do day-to-day, how they get along with their co-workers, their benefits, and where they see the company going.
Our recent Series E funding round sparked a lot of company-wide happiness. Moreover, Checkr offers leadership training, unlimited PTO, and the choice of whether to work in the office, fully remote, or a hybrid of the two. All those factors make Checkr what we are today. But what’s most likely to spark so much happiness at Checkr is our employees’ commitment to the company’s mission.
We are a mission-driven company dedicated to building a fairer future by designing technology to create opportunities for all. This summer we announced we are taking the 1% pledge—pledging one percent of our equity, profits, products, and employees’ time to help nonprofits in the community. This month we started a program where all our employees may use up to eight hours per quarter to volunteer to support a nonprofit organization furthering our mission or any cause they believe in. We can’t wait to see and share what they accomplish.
