Checkr Named a Finalist for 2021 SaaS Awards
San Francisco, July 27, 2021 — Checkr, Inc., the leading technology company in the background check industry, announced today it is a finalist for the 2021 SaaS Awards Program in the Best SaaS Product for HR category. Now in its sixth year of celebrating software innovation, the Software-as-a-Service Awards program accepts entries worldwide, including from the U.S., Canada, Australia, EMEA, and the U.K.
The SaaS Awards recognized Checkr for its Checkr Assess solution, which allows customers to streamline the background check process by defining the rules on which returned records will be evaluated. One big differentiator that Checkr offers is using machine learning to standardize all criminal charges across more than 3,000 counties in the U.S. The tool suggests ways to be more inclusive of candidates and adopt certain rules designed to align with emerging best practices and EEOC guidance on the consideration of criminal records. Checkr has already unblocked more than 2.5 million candidates through standardization, bias elimination, and education, which means more than two million job candidates were added to the talent pool.

The SaaS awards include categories for Best Enterprise-Level SaaS and Best Data-Driven SaaS, alongside new categories including ‘Bespoke SaaS Solution’.
