We’re excited to share that Checkr has been named to the Forbes Cloud 100 list as one of the top privately held companies for the third year in a row.
Forbes compiles the Cloud 100 list each year to highlight the private companies leading the cloud technology revolution. Companies on the Cloud 100 list are considered and evaluated on a set of four key factors, including estimated valuation, operating metrics, people and culture and market leadership. You can find the full list of companies here.
This news comes fresh off the heels of what’s been one of the most action-packed, innovative years in Checkr’s history:
Growth of our customer and partner ecosystem. Today, Checkr has run 50 million background checks for over 15,000 companies worldwide, including Uber, Lyft, Allstate, Coinbase, and Zillow.
In 2020, we were fortunate enough to welcome almost 100 new customers/week across industries, including Staffing, Retail, Hospitality, and the Gig Economy. We also partnered with industry-leading ATS, HR and onboarding systems to help our customers plug Checkr's platform and tools right into their HR practices.
Launch of the People Trust Platform. In July, we announced the launch of the first global trust and safety platform, enhancing our background checks offering. With AI and machine learning at the heart, our People Trust Platform helps customers hire faster, in a fair manner, without compromising on safety. The People Trust Platform is now available worldwide, with background screenings offered across 223 countries.
Commitment towards diversity, belonging, and fair chance hiring. At Checkr, we’ve focused our mission on improving fairness for all people and providing equal access to employment. This year, we doubled down on our efforts and launched the following tools and resources to help our customers hire more fairly:
Checkr Assess. Checkr Assess is a powerful digital assistant that helps you see which candidates are eligible for employment based on your hiring criteria. With Assess, customers hire more fairly by pre-selecting the charges that matter to each one of their open roles and de-emphasize the ones that don’t.
Candidate Stories. At Checkr, we believe criminal records alone do not provide the full picture. That’s why we’ve introduced Candidate Stories, which gives job-seekers the opportunity to share additional context about themselves and the circumstances surrounding their past directly with companies considering them for jobs.
Fair Chance Hiring Resources. We’ve built a handful of resources to help companies break down the stigmas associated with hiring people with criminal records, including our re-entry simulation, which puts individuals in the shoes of someone reentering society from prison. We’ve also rolled out two fair assessment courses, so HR professionals can get certified in conducting individualized assessment using the factors recommended by the EEOC with empathy and understanding.
We’re hiring!
2020 has been a jam-packed year for us at Checkr, and we’re looking for talented individuals to join our team. For more information and open roles, check out our careers page.
