Every update is designed to support the way you work, whether it’s simplifying how reports are reviewed, giving you clearer insights, or making new capabilities easier to access and scale.

Here’s how we’ve enhanced the Checkr platform across the areas that matter most:

New capabilities

Complete package now standard across all accounts

Newest improvement: The Complete background check package—one of our most popular configurations—is now automatically available across all Checkr accounts. This single, one click package is featured throughout the dashboard, pricing flows, and onboarding journey.

How you benefit: The Complete package makes it easy to kick off background checks with confidence—no guesswork, no extra setup. And because it includes Checkr’s maximum criminal search, you can be sure you’re getting the most comprehensive coverage from the start. Whether you're hiring for one role or scaling across multiple teams, you get reliable screening right out of the box.

Best for: Ideal for customers who want the highest level of criminal record coverage—whether for compliance, safety, or peace of mind—without needing to manually configure a custom package.

Monitor post-hire risk—no re-check required

Newest improvement: You can now enroll individuals in continuous criminal search without needing to run a new Checkr background check first. Simply use basic candidate information (like name, date of birth, SSN, and ZIP code) to get started.

How you benefit: This makes it faster and more cost-effective for organizations transitioning to Checkr. Instead of rerunning existing background checks, you can immediately activate post-hire monitoring across your workforce to save money while maintaining peace of mind. It’s a smart way to modernize your compliance program without starting from scratch.

Best for: Large enterprises, transportation, logistics, and safety-sensitive industries with ongoing monitoring needs.

Note: This feature is currently available via API only. You must create a candidate profile via API before enrollment. While it’s an advanced use case, our Professional Services team can support bulk migration for a one-time cost if needed.

Reporting and insights

A better way to review reports: New design, now live

Newest improvement: The redesigned reports page is now fully rolled out. This update removes the old toggle and standardizes the modern interface.

How you benefit: The new layout makes it easier to scan, navigate, and take action—especially for recruiters who handle high volumes of background checks daily. It’s a cleaner, more efficient experience that helps your team work smarter.

Best for: High-volume hiring teams who rely on fast report review and clear UI.

Track criminal screen trends in one view

Newest improvement: A new “Criminal” tab in the Analytics dashboard gives you deeper, visual insights into your background check activity—right where you need it.

How you benefit: You no longer need to export reports or ping support to answer simple questions about your screening funnel. With just a few clicks, you can see pass rates, report volumes, and screening outcomes over time—broken down by team, location, or hiring program. It’s data-driven hiring, made easier.

Best for: High-volume or multi-location employers looking to make faster, more informed decisions at scale.

Note: This update is only available to a subset of customers and will be generally available to all customers by August.

Compliance and risk management

Smarter dispute handling with automation

Newest improvement: When a candidate disputes a background check, the adverse action process is now automatically paused instead of canceled—resuming only if changes are made to the report.

How you benefit: This change removes the need to restart the adjudication process, saving your team valuable time and effort. If nothing in the report changes, you can simply pick up where you left off without losing progress, triggering extra steps, or delaying your hiring decision. It’s a more efficient way to stay compliant and keep candidates moving forward.

Best for: Teams with compliance SLAs, lean adjudication resources, or high report volumes.

See both sides of a disputed report

Newest improvement: When a candidate disputes a background check, you’ll now be able to view both the original and the updated version of the report directly in your dashboard.

How you benefit: This makes it easier to maintain clean, transparent audit trails without contacting support or searching for past versions manually. By giving your team a full picture of what changed (and what didn’t), you can make confident, compliant decisions faster.

Best for: Teams looking to prioritize  audit readiness, compliance transparency, or reduce back-and-forth in the adjudication process.

Onsite alcohol testing for great flexibility

Newest improvement: You can now conduct both saliva-based drug and alcohol tests directly at your worksite using the OT Scan mobile app. Whether for post-accident or reasonable suspicion (PARS) scenarios, these employer-led tests eliminate the need for offsite clinic visits—saving time and reducing operational disruption.

How you benefit: This all-in-one solution offers greater flexibility, faster response times, and improved data capture in high-stakes moments. It’s especially valuable for distributed teams, field operations, or any business needing compliant, on-the-spot testing.

Best for: Transportation, logistics, warehousing, and safety-first teams managing post accident and reasonable suspicion protocols in the field.

Accuracy and decision support

Customize what your teams see for simpler report views

Newest improvement: Admins can now control how much charge-level detail is shown in the online report view—like hiding minor MVR violations or criminal charges—while still preserving full information in the downloadable PDF.

How you benefit: For teams that don’t need to see every detail, this simplifies report review and reduces unnecessary complexity. It keeps the dashboard experience aligned with the PDF summary, helping recruiters and hiring managers focus on what details matters most in alignment with your background check policy.

Best for: Organizations with large hiring teams or distributed decision-makers who need streamlined access to key information.

Candidate experience

Smarter candidate stories: Custom prompts and SMS reminders

Newest improvement: You can now customize the questions candidates see when providing additional context through Candidate Stories—choosing from general prompts or ones tied to specific charges. Prompts may be required or optional, arranged in any order, and tracked with an audit log. Plus, candidates now get SMS reminders (in addition to email) to complete their stories faster.

How you benefit: This gives you more control over the story experience enabling you to get the right context, faster. Whether you're focused on fair chance hiring or compliance, you can tailor prompts to match your evaluation needs and improve decision-making speed.

Best for: Teams that rely on candidate context and want a faster, more structured way to review it.

Partner integrations

New Oracle integration for streamlined hiring

Newest improvement: Checkr is now fully integrated with Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC), enabling you to order background checks, autofill candidate data, and view synced results without ever leaving the Oracle platform.

How you benefit: This integration streamlines your hiring process by embedding Checkr right into your existing ATS so you don’t have to toggle between platforms. It’s built for scale and speed, giving large recruiting teams a more unified and efficient workflow.

Best for: Enterprise organizations using Oracle to manage high-volume hiring.

Auto-sync driver’s license info to Workday

Newest improvement: Driver’s license data from completed background checks now syncs directly into Workday for customers using the integration.

How you benefit: This eliminates tedious copy-paste tasks and reduces the risk of data entry errors which is especially helpful for teams managing regulated roles like commercial drivers.

Best for: Employers hiring DOT-regulated or driver-based roles at scale.
