Through regular surveying, Checkr collects insight and feedback from employees on what’s working well and what needs improvement. Forbes determined their list based on an innovative methodology evaluating employer excellence in three ways:
- Employee Satisfaction: extensive research was conducted on ‘Average Length of Employment’ and 'Online Employer Reviews'.
- Employer Reputation: company specific information was algorithmically extracted from social media channels such as news sites, micro-blogs, blogs and social networks.
- Company Growth: comprehensive evaluations of 'Website Traffic', 'Headcount Growth Rates', and 'Industry-Referenced Job Openings'.

Outschool: Outschool offers over 100,000 live, online activities for learners ages 3-18. Checkr employees can access resources for their families from college-essay writing to math tutoring to ballet.
Maven: Maven is a benefit that gives all employees and partners access to support in fertility planning, pregnancy, postpartum, miscarriage/loss,parenting and pediactric care, and more.
Resources for career development:
Bravely: Bravely gives all employees access to 1:1 career coaching from managing change and stress, developing communication skills, improving relationships, and navigating tough conversations.
Learn In: Learn In is a one-stop-shop education platform for Checkrs to explore and register for on-demand development courses from leading universities and online education providers.
Resources for mental health and community:
Spring Health: Spring Health is a robust mental health and wellness app available to employees to access confidential and convenient mental health resources.
Executive-sponsored Employee Resource Groups (ERG): Checkr’s ERGs promote community with regular meetings, events, and knowledge-sharing opportunities. Everyone is encouraged to join open meetings and play a role in shaping Checkr’s culture. Some of our ERGs include:

More recently, Checkr made a combined donation of $50,000 to the National Bank of Ukraine as well as the UN Refugee Agency in an effort to show immediate support of the Ukrainian government and Ukrainian refugees. Moreover, Checkr is matching employee donations up to $100,000 through our social impact platform, Millie, to help Ukraine during the unspeakable tragedy happening now.
