Ready to run background checks the modern way?
2025 has been a transformative year for Checkr, marked by strategic achievements that support our mission to build the data platform that powers safe and fair decisions. We're committed to turning complex people data into actionable insights to inform decisions that require trust.
Over 120,000 customers use Checkr to power trust decisions—like hiring an employee, approving a loan, or selecting a caregiver—and that number is growing every day, reflected by our company’s gross revenue surpassing $800M.
Company innovation and expansion earned recognition
As a reflection of our commitment to innovating to meet customer needs, for the eighth consecutive year, Checkr was named to the Forbes Cloud 100—the definitive ranking of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world.
In April, we were thrilled to announce our acquisition of Truework, a leading income and employment verification provider with an AI-powered, customer-obsessed product vision that mirrors our own. Truework was the first provider to connect every major verification method into one platform. Welcoming their thousands of customers and incredible team members to the Checkr family was a standout moment of our year. This acquisition represents critical continued expansion of product capabilities for the fast-growing enterprise segment and the ability to meet more of our customers’ employment verification needs.
Checkr Trust, our product line that helps businesses gather risk intelligence at scale, continued to grow in 2025—delivering essential criminal record, identity, and driver record information to customers like Verkada and Turo. Checkr Personal is reimagining personal background checks for everyone who needs to make a trust decision, not just businesses. Unlike some other personal screening tools, Checkr Personal uses the same people data graph and AI technology as Checkr Workforce (our employment background checks), so customers can trust that the information they receive is accurate and complete.
Customers chose Checkr to enable fast and compliant hiring decisions
Every day, the Checkr team shows up to first and foremost deliver an exceptional experience to all our customers, whether they are a small business or a large enterprise. We are proud to partner with them to modernize their hiring processes.
Let’s look back on a few customer highlights from 2025.
Bojangles (BOJ of WNC), the nation's largest Bojangles franchisee with 125 locations across six states, needed a new background check provider who could deliver reliable, complete background check reports—something their previous provider continued to fall short on delivering. They also needed enhanced compliance solutions, such as automated adverse action workflows that helped mitigate risk and improve consistency as they managed checks for over 4,200 employees. After switching to Checkr, they saw a 50% reduction in manual adjudication tasks and could finally trust that their reports were accurate and comprehensive.

E-J Electric, the nation’s leading privately owned electrical contractor, needed to streamline its background check process and eliminate the delays and manual tasks caused by its legacy provider. Their previous system resulted in slow turnaround times, complex compliance challenges, and a lack of transparency for both recruiters and candidates. After partnering with Checkr and integrating the platform with their HR system, E-J Electric saw a 71% decrease in background check turnaround time, fully automated DOT employment verifications, and increased hiring confidence thanks to detailed, transparent reports.
McDonald's (Welburn Management), a family-owned group operating over 70 McDonald's franchises across the Southeast, needed a reliable background check process to support compliance, safeguard young employees, and accelerate hiring for 45 locations. With Checkr, Welburn built a consistent, fair, and compliant hiring program from the ground up—improving safety standards for youth workers, keeping location managers staffed, and promoting second-chance hiring while maintaining trust and operational efficiency across thousands of employees.

GoShare, an innovative gig logistics platform connecting clients with over 50,000 vetted delivery drivers, experienced significant operational slowdowns and inaccuracies after switching from Checkr for background checks. Dissatisfied with delayed checks, unreliable reports, and poor customer service from their new provider, GoShare returned to Checkr and quickly saw turnaround times improve and time spent on adjudication tasks reduced by 83%. With Checkr’s accurate, fast, and scalable solutions, GoShare restored trust for both its independent drivers and internal teams—enabling efficient onboarding, freeing up staff time, and supporting continued business growth.
We asked for customer feedback—here’s where we stand
A Net Promoter Score (NPS) is considered the gold standard for customer satisfaction and loyalty, and is a valuable tool for us to gather feedback to benchmark and improve our product. We’re thrilled to report that after our most recent customer survey, our NPS is +60, maintaining our highest score to date year over year. Our score remains well above the B2B software industry average of +36, demonstrating our dedication to delighting customers with an outstanding product experience.
The employers and organizations that use Checkr every day are the most valuable source of feedback, and we’re proud to have been awarded G2’s “Leader” status for the sixth year in a row. In fact, we were named the Market Leader among over 150 background check solutions for the highest scores in both product satisfaction and market presence.

Checkr.org continued to build a fairer future of work
Through the Checkr.org foundation and our commitment to Pledge 1%, corporate social responsibility is a core part of our work. We dedicate 1% of our product, profit, and equity to advancing fair chance hiring—our central social impact focus. This year, our team continued to support this mission by hosting programs and events that help our communities build more inclusive and equitable workforces.
Catalyst Apprenticeship Program
In 2025, Checkr.org launched the Catalyst Apprenticeship Program to help justice-impacted individuals access career pathways and support fair chance hiring. The program offers 12-month paid apprenticeships at participating employers, aiming to reduce employment barriers for people with criminal records. By partnering with organizations like TechSF and The Last Mile, Catalyst provided training, mentorship, and financial support, fostering a more inclusive workforce and encouraging businesses to embrace untapped talent.
Corporate social responsibility
Checkr celebrated Fair Chance Month by partnering with community organizations, volunteering with justice-impacted individuals, and hosting networking and educational events to promote fair chance hiring. Through initiatives such as resume reviews and mock interviews, our team took action to break down barriers to employment for people with arrest or conviction histories.
Additionally, over 200 Checkr team members participated in the Footsteps for Fairness Walk-a-thon to raise funds for fair chance organizations. With almost 1,500 miles walked, we raised close to $17,000 for fair chance initiatives—and inspired team connection along the way.
Leading the conversation on fair chance hiring
In 2025, Checkr actively elevated the conversation around fair chance hiring and justice-impacted talent through thought leadership at several high-profile events. Company leaders led a panel at the RBIJ Workforce & Justice Summit focusing on policies that create meaningful opportunities for justice-impacted individuals. At the Arouet Symposium, Checkr spoke alongside industry leaders like JPMorgan Chase to engage policymakers, CEOs, and nonprofit partners in advancing fair chance hiring. The NRWC Conference provided Checkr with the opportunity to contribute to a roundtable promoting community adoption of fair chance practices alongside Harvard and JPMorgan Chase, and to speak in a plenary session highlighting the company’s apprenticeship program and commitment to equity in hiring.
Checkr employees are encouraged to use their 20 paid Volunteer Time Off hours each year to help our mission partners, including Breakthrough, The Last Mile, Defy Ventures, and more. These volunteer programs include providing coaching and tutoring, mock employment interviews, job fairs, and business pitch bootcamps to justice-impacted individuals.
What’s next for Checkr?
Looking ahead to 2026, we’re excited to continue innovating to deliver an exceptional experience for both customers and candidates. As we sprint toward our mission to be the data platform that powers safe and fair decisions, next year’s product enhancements will include expanded identity and employment verification capabilities, document fraud detection, I-9 verification, and more screening enhancements built on Checkr’s superpower: people data that helps build trust in businesses and communities.
Our customers and partners continue to be the driving force behind our progress—thank you for your ongoing support and collaboration. We look forward to supporting your mission-critical trust decisions in the year ahead.
